Welcome Friends & Neighbors

The Indian Cove neighborhood is a gateway to Joshua Tree National Park. The proposed OFLAND Resort plans to disrupt this critical wildlife corridor with a massive luxury cabin development. In July 2025, the Twentynine Palms City Council ignored local voices and approved the project without a full environmental review.

We are fighting back. The Center for Biological Diversity and local neighbors have sued to stop this destruction. We must protect our vital wildlife corridors and our peaceful, rural lifestyle.

WILL YOU STAND WITH US? Help fund our legal battle to keep the desert wild.

We are not anti-development. We are Pro 29.

Why Say No to Ofland?

  • A luxury resort doesn’t belong on the doorstep of a national park.
  • It certainly doesn’t belong in the heart of a residential desert neighborhood.
  • Ofland Hotel proposes a 100-room resort with pools, a spa, and event spaces on 152 acres of vital wildlife habitat specified as residential until rezoned by the City of Twentynine Palms to benefit Ofland.
  • Residential zoning is for homes, not resorts.

Protect the Land

  • The City of Twentynine Palms gifted the Ofland Resort with a zoning change from Rural Residential to Tourist Commercial. This sets a dangerous precedent for speculative development at the expense of desert communities’ character and environment.
  • Locals weren’t meaningfully consulted.
  • The City plans approved the project without a full Environmental Impact Report.

We say: protect the land, respect the culture, and put community first.

Stand up for NATURE!

Some of our residents can't stand up for their rights. We can help them.
